The start’ s basis of the BIM methodology is the BIM Authoring, the process of creating, through dedicated software, a digital model of the building.
In the new BIM metohdology the digital model, consisting of a 3D geometric representetion of the structural components, architectural and plant components of the building or infrastructure, and information from a database, populated with data on the components includeded in the project, replacing, in whole or in part, the traditonal project processed, such as 2D graphic tables, technical specifications, materials lists, technical specifications, etc.
