Access4you

The Access4you certification confirms that a building prioritizes inclusion for 8+1 groups with accessibility needs, including wheelchair users, elderly people and individuals with limited mobility, blind and visually impaired people, deaf individuals, people with cognitive disabilities, people pushing strollers, and people with assistance dogs. It also promotes buildings with these inclusive features through online channels accessible to everyone. By providing detailed and reliable information about the accessibility of a place, it helps people with disabilities plan their stay in an unfamiliar location in advance.

Considering that accessibility needs can vary even between two individuals within the same disability group, this aspect becomes a key objective of the certification label. The goal of the Access4you certification is to ensure that a building not only complies with existing accessibility regulations but also becomes an example of inclusivity designed for all people, regardless of their physical abilities. Designing spaces to improve accessibility and usability—making them safe, comfortable and easily navigable for everyone—is one of the foundations of Universal Design, promoted by the European Community through UNI EN 17210:2021.

Access4you is officially recognized by the European Union and the GRESB platform, which evaluates and ranks companies based on the achievement of their ESG goals. In this context, the Access4you label contributes to the “Social” value through certified and credible social sustainability data. The certification includes an evaluation system with four achievable levels, depending on how many of the disability groups mentioned above are included in the accessibility of the spaces: Certified, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Among the design criteria and standards required to obtain the certification are aspects such as: entrance accessibility, internal and external routes, services and facilities, signage and information systems, sustainability and comfort.
