Leed PlatinumProject Description
The scope of our company was the complete refurbishment of all MEP systems, the Specialist Works Supervision for Building Services, and the achievement of the LEED Platinum Sustainability Certification, which is still ongoing.
Given the availability of groundwater in Milan’s subsoil, the project included a renewable heat pump technology with heat exchange from a hydrothermal source. Specifically, this system consists of two 4-pipe air/water multipurpose units, supported by a BACS system for the automatic regulation of the building systems.
The building’s water supply will be derived from the aqueduct, and distribution will be ensured by a variable-flow water pressurization unit.
The building is currently undergoing LEED certification with our company. The protocol to be used is LEED v4 BD+C: Hospitality, with an expected Platinum level.
